A Catalan Brandy from Penedès

Atypical for the variety of grape used the typical Loire Chenin Blanc (north eastern France) The family-Sangenís Llívia of Pacs del Penedes since generations dedicated to the cultivation of their vineyards, was incorporated as a company family in 1977 under the name of Xarmada.
They makes the Brandy as the original recipe of his grandfather who started the adventure of doing it with his friend Reixach with the white grape wine Chenin do after distilled and then put into oak barrels.
Intense aromas in the nose from good distilled, amber. Cigar ash, smoke, vanilla and baked apple. In the mouth dry, silky. A taste of dates, sweet paste, coffee and orange blossom. Spices such as cinnamon. A long aftertaste. Very good price / pleasure.

Bring a leave of laurel, fold it with your fingers and smell it. You will notice the different fragances. The complexity of its aromas have nothing to do with the laurel cooteed in a dish.
